Sigaw ko habang tinatakbo ko ang dalawang batang kinikwelyuhan at hawak-hawak ang isang batang mas maliit kaysa sa kanila.

Back off or you will bleed profusely in the next hours! I will make you pick up your incisors and molars everywhere while you gargle your own blood! Mother forbid me, I can do that if you will not leave that poor boy alone!

Takot din akong makialam pero umakyat ang adrenalin hanggang hypothalamus ko at pati na insulin sa liver ko. Pati na pala estrogen at progesterone ko. Galit ako sa mga bullies! ‘Di ko kayang manahimik at tingnan lang silang manakit ng iba. Never in my presence. This is my crusade, my advocacy, my battlecry! (Anong panamá ni Gabriela Silang!) I will annihilate them all.

“What do you think you are saying?” Tumigil sila at hinarap ako sabay tanong sa’kin. Umiiyak na yung batang binu-bully nila. Aba, at ako pa ang tinanong ng mga ito.

Don’t you dare feel like you are doing a saintly act with that boy! I’ve seen enough. Your rancorousness ends here, right now. Nip in the bud, fellas!

No turning back. Kailangan kong tapusin ang sinimulan ko sa kanila.

“Who are you?!” Pasigaw na tanong sa’kin ng isang bully. Umiiyak pa rin ang kawawang batang na-bully. My heart bleeds for him. (Arte!)

Excusez-moi! You don’t need to know exactly who I am just for you to figure out that what you are doing right now is beyond inhumane, appalling, horrendous, unspeakable act of malevolence! Do you feel stronger if you pick on weak ones? I doubt it’s a good way of power tripping.

Mas bumilog mga mata nila sa mga sinabi ko. Silang tatlo. Kaya parang naramdaman ko na may mali sa pinasok kong eksena. I can’t figure it out yet. Pero ramdam ko semplang ang abot ko dito.

Imbes na patulan pa ako, bigla na lang silang tatlo nagsagutan sa harapan ko.

Bully 1: “Who is this clueless iguana?”
Bully 2: “Just a nameless monkey with the face of an ogre.”
The Boy (being bullied): “An untamed primate who is ready to kick your butts for me.”

Biglang parang sinaniban ako ng lahat ng hayop sa kagubatan sa sobrang galit ko nang tinawag akong clueless iguana, nameless monkey at untamed primate!

Thou shall not call me on those names. You have just brought out the animal instinct in me. Grrrrrr! Oink! Oink! Eek, Eek! Yabada-badoo! Croook! Croook! Wit, wit, wit! Awoooooooohhhh!

“Imba! Tarzan won’t be coming to your rescue because Jane is having a baby today! Hahahaha!”

Maya-maya pa, may papalapit na isang babae sa amin.

“What is this fiasco here? Kendrick, Cedric, why is Derek crying? Why can’t you get along well?”

“Kendrick and Cedric take the cake you bake for they say it is a fake cake you make but they lick and give it to geek Jake the said fake cake. What a heck!” Pasagot na tongue twister ni Derek habang humihikbi pa.

Ano daw?! Magkakapatid sila? Away sa baon lang? This is the trick. Ito nga ang hinihintay kong semplang ko.

At bigla akong binalingan ng mommy nila. Sabay nagtanong.

“And who is this girl? I heard you, boys, squabbling with her. Oh, I should say sorry for whatever encounter you’ve had with my boys.” Ambait ni mamita.

Ayan! Naku, baka isumbong ako ng mga ito na pakialamera ako. Baka isumbong nila ako na pinagbantaan ko sila na magmumumog sila ng dugo habang namumulot sila ng kanilang mga ngipin. Kasi naman ‘tong si Derek, ‘di pa nya sinabi sa’kin na away-magkakapatid lang pala ‘yun.

Kumaripas ako ng takbo na walang lingun-lingon. I barked up the wrong bark of the tree again. Pakialamera! Pakialamera de primera! Sabagay, ang nasa isip ko lang naman ay tigilang saktan ng dalawa ang kawawang bata. I’m just a concerned citizen. Pero ‘yun nga, semplang de kalembang!
